How does a kitchen fire suppression system work?
Kitchen fires can rapidly escalate, which is why our suppression systems are designed to respond within seconds and extinguish fires before they spread. We offer a range of ANSUL fire suppression systems, including ANSUL R-102 which is the industry leader for commercial kitchens.
These systems are automatically activated when the temperature or smoke level in the kitchen reaches a certain threshold. Additionally, manual activation is also possible. Different classes of fires require different types of extinguishants, so it’s important to ensure that the extinguishing agent fitted (such as foam, wet chemical or CO2 ) matches the potential hazards nearby. Once triggered, the suppressant will be quickly dispensed through strategically placed nozzles. This will create a foam layer that helps prevent the fire from re-igniting.
